Firelight Polonaise is my first polonaise for piano. Inspired by Chopin, I set out to create a piece that evokes his spirit while incorporating my own modern voice. Composed in 2019, it has remained a favorite to play, with its technical challenges – wide leaps in the left hand and fast runs in the right – offering both excitement and intensity.
